Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about our raw milk, delivery and the farm.

About Raw Milk

What is raw milk?
Raw milk is milk exactly as it comes from the cow — unpasteurised and (in our case) unhomogenised. It is not heat-treated, so the cream rises naturally to the top.
Is raw milk legal to buy in the UK?
Yes, in England, Wales and Northern Ireland registered producers can sell raw drinking milk directly to consumers. It is banned for sale in Scotland. Read our full guide: Is raw milk legal in the UK?
Why does raw milk carry a warning?
Because it is not pasteurised, the law requires a Food Standards Agency warning on all raw drinking milk. You will see it on our bottles and across this site.
Is your milk A2 and grass-fed?
Yes — our native herd is 100% grass-fed and naturally produces A2 milk. The farm has been certified organic since 2000.

Is there a minimum order?
Minimums can vary by round and by courier. We’ll let you know when we confirm your first order — just ask.
How do I pay?
We confirm payment options when we acknowledge your order. Prices shown on the site are indicative and confirmed before payment.

Storage & Use

How long does raw milk last?
Keep it below 4°C and use it by the date on the bottle — it’s at its best for several days. See how to store raw milk.
Can I freeze raw milk?
Yes, for up to a month or so. Leave room in the bottle for expansion and thaw it slowly in the fridge.
Why has the cream separated?
That’s the natural cream line of unhomogenised milk — a good sign! Shake gently to mix, or pour the cream off. More in the cream line explained.
Do you take the glass bottles back?
Yes. Our bottles are returnable — leave your rinsed empties out for collection on your next doorstep delivery.
